New Fellows Appointed

Wednesday 17 May 2017

The Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of new Research Fellows, Visiting Research Fellows, and Postdoctoral Visiting Research Fellows. The February 2017 'call for fellows' produced many high-quality applications. A panel of internal and distinguished external members made the selections, led by Professor Dinah Birch, Chair of Advisory Council. Other members were Professor Greg Walker (Regius Professor of Rhetoric and English Literature at the University of Edinburgh), Senior Research Fellow Professor Isobel Armstrong, and Professor Rick Rylance as IES Director. One particularly striking feature was the number of outstanding applicants for the Postdoctoral positions.

Research Fellows are appointed to three-year terms, Visiting Research Fellows and Postdoctoral Visiting Research Fellows to one-year terms. All newly appointed Fellows are granted shared office space in the Institute, access to Senate House Library, and free or reduced rates at Institute events.  The names and appointment periods of the Fellows are listed below. Photos and short biographies are listed on the Fellowships page.
