Expressions of Interest Invited for 'What Is Scholarly Editing?' Peer Seminar (17 June)

Wednesday 3 June 2015

The WISE (What Is Scholarly Editing?) programme invites expressions of interest for its peer seminar on 17 June, from 10.00 – 16.30 at the Institute of Historical Research, Senate House, London WC1E 7HU.

Candidates will bring their own materials to the seminar for an editorial ‘hacking’ session in which the peer group and experts will together analyze the text corpus, assess the editorial problems and work on solutions. There will also be a further opportunity to learn about and work with digital tools. Participants are expected to give a five-minute introduction to their editorial projects and the problems they are facing (PowerPoint is available). The WISE programme will cover up to £300 in travel and accommodation expenses for each seminar participant. Please note the programme can only cover travel costs within the UK.

If you are interested in attending, please submit an expression of interest of (max) 300 words to iesevents@sas.ac.uk with the subject line ‘WISE – Expression of Interest’.
