Institute of English Studies seeks new postgraduate reps for its Advisory Council

The Institute of English Studies, School of Advanced Study is seeking two new postgraduate representatives for its Advisory Council. The Council meets three times per academic year and oversees the governance of the Institute. The Council has members from University of London member institutions, libraries, and from institutions both inside and external to the higher education sector.

Having Postgraduate and Early Career Researchers as members of the Council is important to the Institute, and the successful candidates will usually serve a term of three years on the Council. To be eligible, you must be a current part or full-time Postgraduate Research student, from any UK institution (University of London member universities and beyond), working within the field of English Studies.

Any questions please email the Institute Manager. Candidates will be reviewed by a panel made up of an Advisory Council member, the Council Chair, and the Director of the Institute of English Studies. Deadline to apply is midday (GMT) Monday 9 November.

Candidates will learn the outcome of their application by Monday 23 November via email.

Please note that the Council usually meets in person in Senate House in London, but for the current time the meetings are online.
