Senior Research Fellow Establishes Willison Foundation Charitable Trust

The Willison Foundation Charitable Trust (Reg. Charity No 1170782) was registered by the Charity Commission for England and Wales on 15 Dec. 2016. It is being established through the generosity and focus of Mr Ian Willison CBE, a Senior Research Fellow of the Institute of English Studies. He will be actively involved in the work of the Board of Trustees.

The Trust will make grants to individuals who and organizations which are engaging in research projects that support the academic discipline of the History of the Book (which includes studies of the production, transmission, circulation, dissemination, and consumption of text and graphics’, i.e., maps, music, illustrations, and mass-produced prints.

A further press statement in late May 2017 will provide the initial guidelines and deadlines for applications. The Trust aims to receive applications according to these guidelines from 30 September 2017.
