IES Appoints New Chair of Advisory Council

The Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of the new Chair of its Advisory Council. Professor Dinah Birch, FEA is Professor of English at the University of Liverpool and a leading authority on Victorian literature.  She is the author of Our Victorian Education (2008) and general editor of The Oxford Companion to English Literature (2009), as well as the editor of works by John Ruskin, Elizabeth Gaskell, George Eliot and Anthony Trollope.

Johns Hopkins University Press Announces Launch of The Complete Prose of T.S. Eliot

The Johns Hopkins University Press--in celebration of T.S. Eliot's birthday (26 September) announces the launch of The Complete Prose of T. S. Eliot . This multi-volume edition--the first two volumes of which are finished--comes out of the AHRC-funded ' T.S. Eliot Editorial Project ' based at the Institute of English Studies (2009-2012). Senior Research Fellow Ronald Schuchard is the general editor of the Prose and is co-editor of the first two volumes.
