The Institute of English Studies will be closed for the holidays from 5.00pm on Wednesday 23 December and will re-open at 10.00am on Monday 4 January.

Senior Research Fellow Prof. Ron Schuchard Awarded Modernist Studies Association Book Prize

Congratulations to Senior Research Fellow and TS Eliot Summer School founding director Professor Ron Schuchard and to TS Eliot Summer School tutor Dr Anthony Cuda for winning the Modernist Studies Association's book prize for best edition, collection or anthology. The Complete Prose of T.S. Eliot, Volume II: The Perfect Critic, 1919-1926 (JHUP) was called 'a monumental work of scholarly editing' and was commended for its 'clear and easily grasped editorial principles and superb content notes'.
