The Shaping of the Latin Classics in 14th-Century Italy. Some case studies from the Canonici Collection, Bodleian Library

This seminar focuses on the main results of a research project on the material transmission of the Latin classics in fourteenth-century Italy, based on the Canonici collection of manuscripts at the Bodleian Library. In particular, some manuscripts from Bologna will be examined, in order to investigate the development of humanistic culture under the influence of Padua and Florence.
