This is an opportunity to learn how mediaeval illuminations were made and follow through the processes yourself. Each participant will choose an animal from a bestiary from a selection to copy on to vellum, use real gold leaf, and paint using gouache (the closest to egg tempera). Each stage will be carefully explained and beginners are particularly welcome. All tools and materials are supplied.
